Week 11 Update: Sprint Two Goals

Welcome back, beloved QC Quail audience. It is time for your weekly Augustana Market update. This week marked the end of sprint one and the beginning of sprint two. The beta demo went very well and we are well-positioned for sprint two, where we will be focusing on improving the user-friendliness of our app and optimizing our code base. Some more specific goals are listed below.

1.      Allow the user to edit or remove their item posting
2.      Create a home page
3.      Allow the user to auto populate information about their books based on its ISBN number
4.      Allow the user to upload images of their items
5.      Implement a search feature

While this week was mostly defining sprint two goals, we did make a few significant steps forward. First, we initialized uploading images to firebase storage. Secondly, we created an account for Algolia, which will ease the implementation of search functionality. Finally, we setup our app for utilizing cloud functions in firebase. That’s all we have for you now, but stay tuned to see some of these features in action in next week’s blog post.

P.S. check out the snazzy 404 page we implemented last week. It is animated and periodically blurs out
