Hello Everybody! Happy Easter and
more importantly, happy middle of sprint one! The first app demo is only 9 days
away, and the team is busy getting the Augustana Market up and running. Our
large goals for spring one revolve around ensuring the app has core
functionality in place, like a login page that authenticates users, a screen
that lists all items up for sale with detailed information, and a way for
sellers to add items they are looking to sell to the marketplace. So far, we
have had an up-and-down time implementing these things. As stated in the last
post, the login page is complete! However, we still have all the other
requirements. The main item listing page is in progress and close to being
complete. Fortunately, once the item listing page is complete, the item detail
screen should come along very smoothly. On the flip-side, one of our team
members has extensive experience adding data to Firebase, so we anticipate good
progress on the item addition page in the coming week.
Some quick(or maybe not-so-quick)
wins of the week
· Added persistence to redux, so now states maintain after page
refreshes
· Implemented Firebase UI, so the login looks more professional
· Implemented a sign out feature, so users aren't trapped in app for
eternity
